At 10:00 a.m. local time on June 12 in Seoul, South Korea, at the 34th Annual Meeting of the Asia Pacific cataract and Refractive Surgery Society (APACRS 2022), Professor Yao Ke, director of the eye center of the second Academy of Zhejiang University, President of the eye hospital of Zhejiang University, academician of the International Academy of Ophthalmology, and chairman of the ophthalmology branch of the Chinese Medical Association, was awarded the highest award of the society - Lim Vision Award. This is the reason why Professor Yao Ke won the APACRS certified Educator Award in 2009 and the APACRS Gold Award in 2012, After winning the gold award of APACRS Film Festival in 2019, it is also the only Chinese ophthalmologist who has won all the awards of the Asia Pacific Society for cataract and refractive surgery!

Professor Yao first reviewed the history of cataract surgery and introduced the development of cataract surgery in China from the ancient needle aspiration, intracapsular extraction, extracapsular extraction and phacoemulsification to the world's most advanced femtosecond laser assisted cataract surgery, showing the magnificent prospect of the rapid development of cataract surgery in China.
